A Storm of Seas is the first album from Prince Ratchets. With this LP, Prince Ratchets has created an outer-body experience of the ventricles of the inner-self. Dark, throbbing, and cyclic sounds are the basis for the record’s matter. With instrumentation both recognizable and wholly undecipherable, As Storm of Seas is the now soundtrack for the new cinema, and it carries on deep music-as-film traditions initially established by Phillip Oldfield, John Carpenter, and so on. Although intense, A Storm of Seas is beautiful ride into the unknown, and for those willing to go into this beyond, it’s absolutely essential.
